Observation

1)a) The magnetic safety latch on one of the cabinets under the bathroom sink was not working and there were toxic products stored under the sink that were accessible to children in care. 1)a) The magnetic safety latches on the cabinets under the kitchen sink were disabled and the extra latch, a U-type latch, was not secured. There were cleaning and sanitizing products stored in the cabinets that were accessible to children. 1)a) The U-type latch on the laundry closet is very easy to slide open and would not keep older children, who would be able to easily operate the latch, from accessing the laundry closet. There are toxic products including detergents, bleach, etc. stored there. There are school age children enrolled that attended this morning and will attend in the afternoon, and older preschoolers may also be able to operate the latch.
